Lamb Feeding Trial

A lamb feeding trial was conducted by independent institution from March 2020 to May 2020 has shown that Oilseeds feedlot ration outperformed the industry standard and other pelleted products on both weight gain and feed conversion ratio (FCR). 196 lambs in 3 genotypes (dorper, merino and crossbred) were fed in the trial. They were fed 4 different rations with three replications for each feed.

Feed conversion ratio  was calculated by dividing the mean apparent consumption of pellets per pen by the mean growth rate of lambs per pen. The trial results show OSA Pellets have performed better than other competitive rations by significant improvement in weight gain. The feed conversion ratio of 6.7 and 7.3 of OSA Pellets are a clear indication that absorption and digestibility of OSA Pellets is much better than other competitive rations in the trial.
